I have been super busy coding, getting resources and assets developed, implementing map design, match and team play and much much more. I am deep into development to try to meet a deadline for mid February 2021. I have added many new features like a Huge map upgrade, player list, icons in ship name and player list, spectator mode, network code server code and features, client code and features, and most of all DTLS Real-Time Encryption.
DTLS will encrypt all network traffic and block cheating, allow for encrypted chat and user authentication. It is a huge feature that is necessary to ensure fair game play and secure clients. Thanks to the Godot community and team for this awesome feature.
I'll be getting my test-bed server and client ready for testing over the next few weeks. I'm hoping for an excellent start and a lot of fun. Till next month checkout these images of Phoenix USC development progress over the last month or so.
